Haneen knows when holistic self-care strategies are applied, it increases our self-worth and allows us to feel more resilient when traumatic or stressful situations occur. Haneen strongly believes emotional resilience empowers us to turn negative experiences into positive ones, build a more optimistic and realistic life perspective, and maintain balance in our lives.
Haneen knows that life can be tough at times – whether it is due to personal life issues, work-life balance, problems at work, financial stress, relationship issues, self-esteem, anger management, addiction, stress, anxiety, or depression (to name only a few). Sometimes, we need to pause for a moment, take a deep breath, and check-in with our self. Haneen often uses the metaphor of a “Life Bucket” that we each carry. This “Life Bucket” holds our past experiences and continues to fill with future worries. We need to learn to be mindful of this bucket before it over-flows! Mindfulness teaches us to be in the present moment, which is where change happens, where old unhelpful thinking patterns and negative behaviour can be addressed, modified, and transformed into helpful thinking patterns and positive behaviour.
